Following the dedication of a new greenway trail extension in south
Knoxvilletoday, I walked the trail which extends from Island Home Park,
alongthe Tennessee river and through the woods to reach Ijams Nature Center.
On the way back I observed a hermit thrush and winter wren among the many
birds foraging there.
