Last week, on April 30th, "my" beautiful pair of Red-headed woodpeckers returned to my yard. This is their 3rd season to nest here (mine too:). What a welcome site they were, arriving 5 days earlier than last year. Joining those lovely birds yesterday, were 6 Rose-breasted Grosbeaks-3 males and 3 females. What a colorful sight they made today, when they all arrived at the feeders at the same time. And a male Indigo Bunting showed up just to mix up the colors a bit!
