The following was posted to the Alabama birding list and has information of
interest to TN-Birders. I hope this does not repeat something that has long
since been posted to TN-Birds and I simply forgot.

Subject: [ALBIRDS] editing and reporting on cbcs in alabama and mississippi
In the past AL and MS CBCs have been edited, along
with TN CBCs, by one person, originally and for
a long time by Tom Imhof from Alabama, later by
Judy Toups from Mississippi, and lately by me from
Tennessee (with occasional fill-in help from a few
others).
The number of Tennessee CBCs has risen to a
sufficient number (27 last year) to allow those
CBCs to be edited and reported on separately from
AL and MS CBCs, which collectively totalled 29
CBCs last year. Thus, with the publication of
the next CBC summary volume (expected to
arrive this September), there will be separate
summaries, one for TN and one for both AL and
MS.
While I am willing to continue to edit and to report
on CBCs from Al and MS, I am also willing for
someone with appropriate credentials to assume
those responsibilities.
If you think you might like the job of editing
CBCs from AL and MS and then reporting
on their results in the national CBC publication,
please respond to this email to that effect; I will
then put you in touch with the national CBC editor,
Geoff LeBaron.
