east Tennessee...Knox and Campbell Counties (for those who wonder why I put this info here...remember that messages on this listserve are seen by birders from anywhere in the world. Many will not know the names of places listed here, so a bit more info is helpful. Imagine if you are going on a trip to another state and you want to see what people are currently seeing there. Try looking at the state's listserve (go to birdingonthe.net) - you'll see lots of references to local birding places, towns, and counties. You'll spend a lot of time looking at a map trying to find out if the place mentioned is anywhere near where you will be. So I like to include the part of the state to which the post relates) ************************* The Knoxville Chapter of the Tennessee Ornithological Society announces the following field trips for this coming weekend: Saturday, May 20, 8:00 a.m. Field trip to Seven Islands WMA Leader: David Trently 865-974-8664 (day); 865-531-1473 (eve); dtrently@xxxxxxx Meet at the Comcast parking lot on Asheville Highway just north of I-40 (Exit 394) at 8:00 a.m. or at Seven Islands parking lot at 8:15 a.m. Seven Islands is primarily a grassland habitat.
