Boone Lake, Washington & Sullivan Cos., TN

primary roads clear; secondary roads varied from clear to ice covered;
only birded accessible areas;
most of upper Holston arm of lake frozen over, a few small open spots;
lower end of lake completely open.

Canvasback - 14, good number here
Redhead - 8
Gr. Scaup - 1 drake
Lsr. Scaup - 2
White-wg. Scoter - 2 imm - likely same 2 as on 15 Feb
Bufflehead - 1
Com. Goldeneye - 3 hens
Hooded Merganser - 3
Pied-billed Grebe - 55
Horned Grebe - 7
Black-cr. Night-Heron - 1 ad, unusual on lakeshore in winter
Ring-billed Gull - 400+ , most good gull spots inaccessible
