Cocklebur and Mud Lakes
Robco Lake, Ensley Bottoms
Southwest Shelby Co. TN
DeSoto and Tunica Co. MS

I had a couple of AR birders over Saturday and Sunday working on MS and TN
lists. At Cocklebur Lake, we found 10 WOOD STORKS by looking through tiny
openings in the grown up tree line (probably quite a few more hidden). Then at
Mud Lake we had a male and female ANHINGA sunning in a tree. Also at Mud Lake,
we had 10 Least, 4 Black and a single Forster's Terns hunting.

We only added 143 ticks to their TN and MS lists as woodland birding was
extremely dull on Saturday but brightened a bit on Sunday at Bass Landing in
DeSoto Co, MS. A quick run through at the pits produced a total of 13 species
of
shorebirds with up close and personal looks at a juvenile Baird's Sandpiper,
a season first Dunlin and an Osprey.

Good Birding !!!
