This morning in my yard I had a few warblers, the best being an adult male
WILSON'S WARBLER seen and heard. I also had Magnolia and a female American
Redstart.
I heard a POSSIBLE CONNECTICUT WARBLER several times. I never saw the bird.
There is a possibility that it was a Northern Waterthrush since they often
sound similar. It was heard in perfect habitat for both waterthrush and
Connecticut, right by a creek with thick ground cover with small trees and
shrubs. I never was close enough to the bird to get its exact location. I would
here the bird sing a few times, normally 50-100 ft. away. I tried calling both
species with my CD player, but never got an answer. I guess I'll try tomorrow.
