This morning at 7 a.m. I discovered 26 White Pelicans at the West end of
Ish Creek Embayment. They are now at the West tip of the undeveloped TVA
land that is across the lake from the osprey platform (now with 2 osprey
on site) visible from Lowes Ferry Road. If you know where the great blue
heron colony is in the evergreen trees the pelicans are on the point to
the right of the heron colony if viewed from Scenic Point. You might be
able to see them better from the Friendsville/Gallagher Creek side of
Ish Creek Bay. They are out from the large white house with the green
metal roof.
