Jeff Wilson just called me to report that he has a Whimbrel in Memphis at the pits this morning. He is trying to refind the bird which flew, but Jeff thinks it's still in the area. Also there this morning were Baird's and the first of the season Buff-breasted's. Late yesterday afternoon he had his first of the season Upland calling, and also yesterday we had Sanderling, American Golden-Plover, and Wilson's Phalarope among the usual species, I didn't ask about the status of these birds today.
