Yesterday, May 6th, there were 4 pairs of Western Kingbirds along the
entrance road to Presidents Island in Shelby County on powerlines, and an
additional 3 birds were seen at the North Treatment Plant, also in Shelby
County. That is 11 birds total.
Two male Painted Buntings were also heard at the "Painted Bunting Corner".
The only other year-bird was an adult Yellow-crowned Night-heron seen
flying over River Port Rd.
