My first Rufus-sided Towhee of the season showed up this afternoon. He and
some WT Sparrows were scratching away where I had thrown some seeds earlier
in the day. At least one Red-breasted Nuthatch is still at my feeders and I
have put out a hummingbird feeder anticipating that the one who showed up in
Millington yesterday will be hungry when he gets here!

He was still here today and was joined by his buddy. Making a
first-of-the-year appearance was a blue-gray gnatcatcher and a red admiral
butterfly. Also of interest were mating red-bellied woodpeckers and courting
pied-billed grebes.
