Ed Davis Fish Farm
Gibson County

I made a quick swing through Ed Davis Fish Farm, near Milan, in Gibson County
this afternoon for the first time in ages. There was no shorebird habitat but I
did have a few interesting birds:

Double-crested Cormorant - 2
Great Egret - 35
Black Tern - 20
Caspian Tern - 1
Forster's Tern -1
There were lots of swallows in the area - mostly N. Rough-winged and Barn but
there were a few Bank Swallows in the mix as well.

At Gibson County Lake, Gibson County:

Black Tern - 1, flying with swallows out over the lake
Lots of swallows here as well but not as many as were at Ed Davis Fish Farm. I
did have a couple of Tree Swallows and Cliff Swallows here in addition to the
species seen earlier.

Good birding!
