Hello TnBirders….
Have you registered for the annual Spring TOS Meeting?? It is being hosted by
the Nashville Chapter and will be held on April 28-30th.
Our host hotel is the Hampton Inn in Ashland City…a convenient link has been
established for making your reservations. Please note that in order to get the
‘TOS group rate’ you must register by MARCH 30th.
Field trips are planned for Saturday and Sunday to many northern Davidson
County hotspots. The banquet on Saturday night will be at The Green Door, a
farm to table venue owned by Albert III and Sylvia Ganier - grands of one of
the TOs founders Albert Lanier. TOS historical memorabilia will be displayed
during the happy hours for all to enjoy. You must register for this dinner…NO
TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR OR AT REGISTRATION. So if you’re
interested in attending you MUST register by April 24th.
Our Keynote Speaker for Saturday evening will be Noah Strycker. Author,
ornithologist and past ABA Young Birder of the Year. https://noahstrycker.com/ ;
It is indeed our pleasure to have Noah with us for the weekend. Parnassus
Books will be on hand at the banquet with Noah’s books for sale and Noah will
gladly sign them for you. Or you can bring your previously read and purchased
books and have Noah sign them too. Noah will also join in on field trips on
Saturday and Sunday mornings.
