Hello all, I've enjoyed all the reports, pictures and videos of the Snowy Owl in Spring Hill, Tennessee. I don't live in an area good for Snowy Owl viewing, but I created a quick little map of the area where the bird is being seen for those traveling that way. http://tinyurl.com/TNSnowyOwl Blue placemarks are places the owl has been seen. Right click on the yellow Cracker Barrel placemark, for example and choose "directions to here" for driving directions. Street view is helpful, also - click and drag the little golden person in the upper left to a street to see what it looks like from the ground. As an example, here's a view of the field just a little north of where it was seen in today by Stephen Barlow of Georgia: http://tinyurl.com/ck8dhz. You can pan (click the field and drag left or right) and move up and down the roads (arrows on the roads). I was a little hindered in creating the map by never having been here; if anyone has corrections or is interested in collaborating, just email me. I hope the cross-posting doesn't break too many litserv rules... I thought birders coming from GA and AL might find it useful. Good birding, and hello to all my Tennessee birding friends - Andrew -- Andrew Core Tucson, AZ =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to SIGN YOUR MESSAGE with first and last name, CITY (TOWN) and state abbreviation.
