This morning my mom, David Hollie, and I drove up to Spring Hill. At 8:21, 10
minutes after arriving at the field across from the Rippavilla mansion, we
spotted the snowy owl flying toward us from over the hill. It landed about 150
yards from the fence beside the road and sat preening, then sleeping. When we
left at 9:30, it was still there.
