Yesterday morning, 10/10/21, Tim Loyd found a probable Clay-colored Sparrow on
private land near Gallatin in Sumner Co. A couple of us were able to re-find
and confirm the bird yesterday afternoon. It is located on a large, gated
estate which Tim had special permission from the landowner to bird on.
Unfortunately, access during the week is not possible because the landowner is
building a new home and there is construction traffic on weekdays. Tim is
reaching out to the owner to see if he can bring a handful of people out next
weekend for anyone interested. The sparrow is in a part of the property that
is not affected by the construction so perhaps it sticks.
