This weekend I had two birds of note in Blount County. On Friday afternoon, I saw about 12 PINE SISKINS flying overhead while I was walking the dogs on the closed section of the Foothills Parkway. [By the way, the section between Rts. 321 and 129 will likely be closed for another month or so due to slides etc. from the flooding] Yesterday, Sunday, Charlie Muise and I saw an immature PEREGRINE FALCON flying overhead in Alcoa (appx. corner of Rule and Lincoln Streets).
