KTOS field trip to Sharps Ridge in Knoxville was attended by 23 folks today.
It was not great day for the ridge, but the birding and the company were both
good. Eight species of warblers: northern parula, yellow-rumped,
black-throated green, prairie, pine, black and white, worm-eating and hooded;
two species of vireo: blue-headed and yellow-throated; and scarlet tanager were
seen, and wood thrush were heard. Total species count was 37.
