[East Tennessee
Knox County
Seven Islands Wildlife Refuge]

Catherine Newell of Los Angeles, California, was birding at Seven Islands
Wildlife Refuge in eastern Knox County yesterday (Monday, Sept 16) and
reported seeing three BALD EAGLES.

I was out there about a week ago and there were easily 100+ BARN SWALLOWs and
RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDs. N BOBWHITE were calling (time was early afternoon).
Several of the regular species there were heavily molting, and lots of young
birds were present.
