At Seven Islands this morning, we watched a male bluebird and a pair of
tree swallows checking out a nest box. The bluebird seemed alone, and would
sit on the box and call, then fly up in a tree. One of the swallows went in
the box for several minutes while the other flew around the area. When the
swallow came out the bluebird came back and waited patiently again. It did
not go to the entrance or going the box.
