Pickins Bridge/Austin Springs, Boone Lake, Washington Co., TN Musick's Campground, Sullivan Co., TN * * * * We've had four sightings of the Sandhill Crane in Northeast Tennessee in four days -- probably two different birds. Jerry Bevins saw the first bird 8 Nov. at Boone Lake, in the vicinity of Pickins Bridge. The next day he saw another on the lake at Austin Springs. A second bird has been has been present 10-11 Nov at the Spring Creek Embayment of South Holston Lake, in both Sullivan Co., TN and Washington Co., VA. It is being observed from Musick's Campground. The bird was seen 10 Nov. by Larry McDaniel, Allen Trently, David Trently, Don Holt, Jim Holt, Don Miller and Alice Loftin, Rack Cross and Sammy Cross.
