Fort Campbell, Montgomery Cty

While driving out to see the owls I found a flock of approximately 400
blackbirds in several large oak trees. Visibility and light conditions were
poor, but I managed to see that about 20% of these birds were Rusty blackbirds
putting the number at about 80. The majority of the birds were Red-winged
blackbirds with a few Common grackles seen as well. This is the largest number
of Rusties I've seen this season. Previously I had only seen 1 Rusty on Ft
Campbell on 11/28/07 (Stewart Cty).
