Willie came to the feeder at 6:26 a.m. this morning. He must feel like it is springtime since the temperature is just at freezing after the past nights when it was in the teens. He spent most of Tuesday hidden from view except for coming to the feeder, which is kind of strange since it was so sunny with very little wind. On Monday he sat in the bare bush to the left of the feeder almost all day. We've decided he may have gotten a sunburn on Monday from overexposure - just kidding, of course, but he could certainly do an ad for Coppertone since he is just the right color of a perfect suntan. He is definitely showing signs of molting right now but is still gorgeous in the sunshine and the light from the heat lamp on the feeder. Better come and see him soon before he decides to head West.
