I found the immature Roseate Spoonbill about 12:30 p.m. today (Oct. 22) at the location off U.S. Highway 25E described in James Brooks' e-mail dated Oct. 20. I walked out to the old Highway 25E; it's a muddy walk but worth it for the better view. The spoonbill was mixed in a group of about six Great Egrets and appeared much smaller; however, the bill was a dead giveaway.
