11/24/09 Lake Co As Mark said, I was up at Reelfoot part of the day as well, with much the same luck. Terrible conditions all day, with a steady rain developing later in the afternoon. I had planned to stay to watch the gull roost form, but something came up that prevented that. I also had very brief and distant looks at an adult Little Gull later in the day, out from the same location Jeff had seen it. No sign of the Clark's Grebe, but that doesn't mean much today I don't think. A few Horned Grebes, Pelicans, etc. and finally able to pick out a single loon. I spent a little time up near Black Bayou, and had a lot of gulls and blackbirds working over a field that was being plowed. Nothing but Ring-billed and Bonaparte's among the gulls though. The blackbirds were mostly Cowbirds, but a conservative 200 Brewer's were in smallish groups around the perimeter of the Cowbirds; only a handful of Rusties. Got a few photos of the Brewer's I will post later. Nothing much else to note. A few flyover Lapland Longspurs. Good Birding!!
