Radnor Lake State Natural Area
Davidson Co., TN
2015 April 21

With migration of passerines increasing I managed to get out to
Radnor Lake on Tuesday morning. I met Jan Shaw and Bertrand and
Janet Taylor there at 7 am and we slowly walked to the dam.
There were still not large numbers of migrants, but we did hear
and see ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK, SUMMER and SCARLET TANAGERs,
plus YELLOW-THROATED VIREO. Having other commitments for the
morning, I wandered on by myself. YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERs still
dominate the scene, but additional warbler species are increasing
in number. At Long Bridge I did find one of my main targets, a
male CERULEAN WARBLER. Silent at first, after I spotted it, it
sang several times.
