Just in case anyone is still wanting to see the swans, I found the 5 Mute
Swans about one mile upstream (towards Edgemore Rd) from Melton Lake
Park/Oak Ridge Marina. I had a fairly good view of them from the Greenway.
I was not able to relocate the juvenile Trumpeter Swans. Other highlights
included a Red-breasted Merganser, a Northern Pintail with the Mute Swans
and some Gadwall, Golden and Ruby-crowned Kinglets, and a Red-tailed Hawk
that almost nabbed a squirrel on the far shore. Someone does have quite a
few decoy ducks and geese set up along the river that gave me pause for a
few seconds.
