TN birders, Had a few hours this afternoon, but with gray threatening skies, knew I could not tarry. Made a run to Nickajack Dam where several had seen a female long-tailed duck from the east parking area near the dam, most recently by Daniel Jacobson. Took about 10 minutes to locate her, in line with the nearest buoy. Other species seen/heard: great blue heron pied-billed grebe Common loon-hrd American coot bufflehead ruddy duck greater scaup lesser scaup eastern phoebe-hrd fish crow-hrd American crow-hrd Had a good rain on the way home.
