Yesterday, March 17th, I had a Louisiana Waterthrush at Center Hill Lake,
Dekalb Co. on a creek where there’s been a territory for the 30 years I’ve been
going there. I’d never heard the vocalization it made before - a weak twitter.
It sounded like a warbler, so I played one LOWA phrase and the bird immediately
flew overhead and looked at me silently.
