Mike Nelson's immature White Ibis was still at Kyker Bottom WMA on Garland Road (Kyker Road in DeLorme) in SW Blount County this morning, Thursday, June 15 at 11:00. Park at the gravel parking lot about a quarter of a mile west of the fenced-in building, walk east to the first berm, walk it north (left) all the way to the long east-west berm, turn west (left) and look along the south (left) side. It was close to the next berm that goes south. It was with 3 Great Egrets and 5 Great Blue Herons. Regarding the House Wren discussion, we have had nesting boxes in our yard for about fifteen years and this is the first year that House Wrens have nested here.
