Thanks to Kelly Roy and Mike Roedel for mentioning the turkey season. I just want to remind everyone going out this Sunday for the Knox County Spring Count to keep this in mind, particularly if you are getting out in some of the more rural areas of the county. Mike, Forks of the River WMA in Knoxville wasn't listed (that I could find) in the Spring Turkey Hunting Regulations on the website you sent. I know TWRA released turkey here a few years back in hopes of starting hunts here (not sure how that works inside the Knoxville City limits though) but I haven't heard if hunting is allowed yet ... and I've never seen turkey there nor have they been reported on any of our counts. We have a party set to got there on Sunday.
