At the fall TOS meeting Tony King of Knoxville chapter asked that the Operation Migration Mile Marker sponsorship be put on the agenda for TOS board for directors consideration. We did not have time for that as it turned out so I'll put in an additional plug here. With Tennessee figuring importantly in reintroduction efforts and the migration route, this may be a good thing for each chapter to consider funding. They figure the cost to be about $200 per mile. See their web page for details: _http://operationmigration.org/mile_makers.htm_ (http://operationmigration.org/mile_makers.htm) And they are in Tennessee this weekend! Stay at Pickwick Landing state park inn at reduced winter rates this evening, and see the Whoopers take off in the morning!
