What a shame your feeder was out of service. I do not have an accurate count of hummers in Tennessee this winter. I will look at my list later and give you the numbers on what we banded. I think it was only three or four. I banded a female Rufous in Townsend many years ago that returned to the same location for many winters in a row. Does Maggie Street sound familiar? This Rufous survived several nights when temps were in the 0 to 10 degree range without any difficulty. It is possible it is the same bird, but she would now be very old. Buy a feeder now if possible and contact Chris if the bird returns. Take care.
