The Herndon Chapter will make a field trip to Douglas Lake on Saturday,
Sept. 20. Meet at the K-Mart in Johnson City at 9 a.m. to carpool to
the destination. Douglas Lake is prime habitat for shorebirds and
wading birds. Bring a lunch or snacks and drinks, and dress for the
weather. For
more information, call trip leader Don Holt at (423) 483-0470.
