Thursday evening (15 Oct), I heard a number of Hermit Thrushes call as they passed over the yard (west Knox Co) around 9:30 PM. That's a bit early for the yard as my previous early date was 31 Oct. But I think it is in line with typical arrival dates for the species (just that my yard has lagged behind). I was in Wilmington, NC for the past week and a half and heard Hermit Thrushes passing overhead a couple of nights while there.
