A compelling story on the American Birding Association blog, written by
Laura Erickson, about the recent oil spill in Galveston Bay, TX. Please
read and share this info to focus attention on this deplorable situation,
ironically on the 25-year mark of the Exxon Valdez event.

There is a petition as well...we need everyone's help and signature.
Please take a moment to sign [and SHARE] this petition to demand ALL birds
affected by the Galveston Bay oil spill be counted. Because there is no
oversight, oil companies seek to hide the true numbers of affected wildlife
from the American public and hinder regular citizens and certified
rehabilitators from rescuing oiled birds or retrieving dead ones. Thanks!
