My wife and I have been Great American Backyard Bird Watching today. Earlier today while we were both looking out the dining room window she asked "what's that"? I looked and to my surprise saw that it was a Fox Sparrow. This was only the second one I had seen in the yard in 9 years of birding. A Short while later he appeared again and this time had a friend with him. Two Fox Sparrows for this years count. Unfortunately I think we are going to fall a few species short of last years count. We have had 16 Purple Finches though and a couple of Red Tailed hawks and three pine warblers. Getting close to thirty species. J.
