Steve, I had three Swainson's Warblers on territory on my Tellico BBS route (Cherokee NF, Monroe Co) on Tuesday (6/20)and heard at least two others as I was trout fishing on the Bald River on 6/19. I actually witnessed one carrying a food item. That is most I have had on that BBS route and in that area in the last 15 years. I have recorded only one Swainson's Warbler this year so far (in Morgan County during the Oliver Springs BBS), and I have heard of very few being found in their usual Upper Cumberland haunts this breeding season (one near Jett Bridge in the Obed Wild and Scenic River, Morgan Co., TN, one at Natural Arch, Daniel Boone Nat. For., McCreary Co. KY, and several in the Little Lick area of the Daniel Boone Nat. For. in Pulaski Co., KY). I'm wondering if others have had the same experience in or out of the Region in Tennessee or Kentucky, or if my experience (and that of several others) is just a case of bad timing. =20 Fill me in, Steve Stedman Cookeville, TN =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3DNOTES TO = SUBSCRIBER=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= The TN-Bird Net requires you to SIGN YOUR MESSAGE with first and last name, CITY (TOWN) and state abbreviation.
