This evening while enjoying some time outdoors I noticed some movement near my neighbor's flowering quince bush. Initially thinking it may be a snake since the movement was close to the ground, I quickly realized that it was a male Ruby-throated Hbird working its way from one flower to another. This is an early date for us, we usually don't see the first here until around the 12th of April. Anna Varney Perryville, Decatur Cty, TN
