I walked along portions of the Little River at Metcalf Bottoms in the Great
Smoky Mountains, Sevier County, and located the pair of adult Common Mergansers
seen in that location since mid-February.
I'm still not sure if these birds are different from the birds on the Middle
Prong of the Little Pigeon River in Pittman Center TN,  which have not been
seen since 2/13/18. But the Little River pair does look different to me, but
who knows.
