You can call the RBA at 423 -821-4381. More spring migrants are beginning to arrive! The first report of Hooded Warbler came from Greenway Farms (Hamilton co.) on March 29. (David Aborn) The first reports of Yellow-throated Warblers came from Mullens Cove Road in Marion co. on March 27. (Libby Wolfe) (Daniel Jacobson) A Sedge Wren was flushed from a wet weed patch at the Riverport (Hamilton co.) area on March 27. (Daniel Jacobson, Kevin Calhoon) The first AMERICAN BITTERN of the season was flushed from the south side of the marsh at Standifer Gap Marsh on March 16. (David Patterson) A Vesper Sparrow and Lesser Yellowlegs were seen at Baylor School (Hamilton co.) on March 27. (Daniel Jacobson) The TOS fieldtrip to the Brainerd Levee on March 26 was well attended with 25 particpants! Thirty-five species were tallied with the highlights inlcuding a Least and Pectoral Sandpiper, Rusty Blackbirds, American Pipits, and Tree Swallows.
