A pair of Yellow-crowned Night-Herons is nesting at the Children's Discovery House in Murfreesboro, SE Broad Street. The nest can be viewed from the walk behind the museum by looking across the small stream just north of the 5 colored pipes which form a fountain. There is a small squirrel nest easily visible high in the large trees near the stream edge - the loose stick nest is almost directly behind the squirrel nest perhaps 30 feet away. It will probably be tough to see in another week when the trees are more leafed out. Eurasian Collared Doves have been seen regularly in the area, and the colony seems to be centered near the corner of Scales and Castle street, particularly around the Church of God parking lot Terry Witt Murfreesboro Tennessee =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation. ----------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, simply send email to: tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send email to: tn-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TN-Bird Net is owned by the Tennessee Ornithological Society Neither the society(TOS) nor its moderator(s) endorse the views or opinions expressed by the members of this discussion group.
