I did a walk this morning on the road to the Appalachian Center for Crafts,
at Center Hill Lake, DeKalb County. This is a road with at least 4 Cerulean
Warbler territories. I haven't been hearing any Ceruleans around Center Hill
for a couple of weeks. (Center Hill Lake has a very healthy population of
breeding Cerulean Warblers). So I went looking. I did passive listening
along the road, hearing one male that sang 2 phrases, and used playback near
known territories on the way back. Two males, with territories side-by-side,
responded to playback. The species list is below.

Also, I had a Red-breasted Merganser in one of the coves on Center Hill Lake
yesterday. It's hard to be absolutely certain, but I'm guessing it was a
non-breeding plumaged male.
