Cades Cove GSMNP Blount County Kris Johnson and I decided to do an informal fall count in Cades Cove on Sunday, October 1. As more of the barren fescue fields return to native grasses and plants, the number and variety of species seems to be on the increase in the Cove. Also thanks to beavers' wetland restoration project, there are more and more small marshes scattered around the Cove.
