And while there are less than 10,000 species of birds worldwide, there are
well over 10,000 species of moths just in the Lower 48.

And, yes, Carol, as far as I know, this is true for all the big Saturnidae
silkmoths. Except maybe Mothra. :-)

Actually this is a Tulip Tree Silkmoth (Callosamia angulifera). Note the
check mark shaped markings (Cecropia have crescents facing the opposite
direction among other differences).
