September 19, 2005 Humboldt, TN Gibson County I had one Buff-breasted Sandpiper amongst many Killdeer yesterday at the Cultra Specialists Humboldt Sod Farm just south of Humboldt on Windy City road in Gibson County. This species has been noted here a few times in the Fall the last few years by both Mike Todd and I. Always a nice bird! Also had a Common Nighthawk sitting on a power line along Hwy. 54 just north of Alamo in Crockett County yesterday. When I came back by 3 hours later the bird was still there sleeping. Good birding, Mark Greene Trenton, TN Gibson County =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation. ----------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, simply send email to: tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send email to: tn-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TN-Bird Net is owned by the Tennessee Ornithological Society Neither the society(TOS) nor its moderator(s) endorse the views or opinions expressed by the members of this discussion group.
