Bells Bend Park
Davidson Co.
Tony Lance, Kevin Bowden and I spent an enjoyable morning at Bells Bend
Park where the most numerous species were displaying Red-winged Blackbirds
and Field Sparrows. But we also heard 3-4 Henslow's Sparrows singing down
the path from the Nature Center and saw one of them. Other highlights
included 2 Prairie Warblers (one seen singing very close by), several Northern
Bobwhites heard, 1 Cliff Swallow, 1 Blue-winged Warbler heard, several Common
Yellowthroats, many Swamp Sparrows and a Savannah Sparrow.
