Shane, that appears to be a grackle to me. I have a lot nesting in my Halifax
neighborhood as well. Along the same lines, as I was walking the block
yesterday evening I noticed my neighbor holding something....a baby bluejay.
She was going to put in a shoe box and keep it away from the
cats.......grimace! I didn't say anything because its too late, but I have been
taught its best not to handle baby birds and contaminate with human scent. Not
so much that the parents would reject them, but the predators would follow the
human scent out of curiosity.
Anybody have any thoughts on this one?

11, 2008 in East Hamblen County Northeast of Morristown there is grackle nest
in the backyard high in the tree above the carport right of the fence going
into the backyard plus I did hear baby grackles begging for food from the
adults Grackles. it has fallen out of its nest yesterday and the baby bird is
not there now I have checked on the bird I do not see it now the adult birds
must have taken it back to its nest. is it a Baby Robin or Grackle
