4-27-08 Radnor Lake Davidson Co. Warbler species were pretty much the same as yesterday at Radnor, but the best was a gorgeous male Blackburnian which provided prolonged views in the sun. I had my FOS Acadian Flycatcher along the road, and ranger Leslie Ann Rawlings had a FOS calling Olive-sided Flycatcher along the Lake Trail just before Long Bridge. Along the road at the east end of the lake, there were 6 male Baltimore Orioles, 1 male Orchard, and 1 male Scarlet Tanager all in the same area. What an eye-full! Mike Bernard had another Pine Siskin and a Bank Swallow. Wood Thrushes seem to be more plentiful this year, heard singing all the way around the lake. A Prothonotary went in and out of the bluebird house in back of the ranger's house where we saw one yesterday. Jan Shaw Nashville, TN **************Need a new ride?
