Hi Fanus, Please note that to reset the player one needs to hold the power button down for at least 30 seconds, not about 30 seconds and remember to count slowly. It can be held down for longer than 30 seconds but not less. One may also have to do it more than once as had to be done by a recent customer to get his player going again. After doing a proper reset and if the player didn't get sorted, then it most likely is corruption which is causing the player to malfunction. At this point the best thing to do is to copy yor folders and files onto your computer and format the player. After the player is formatted, paste your folders back onto it except for the .rockbox folder which you should replace with a fresh copy.
